Job Description
*Location*
Roscommon Customer Service Center
*Employment Dates:*
Starting approximately April 30, 2018 (1) or May 14, 2018 (2)
*Work Hours* Generally from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. This position requires flexibility in work hours and may include some evening and weekend work. This position will be scheduled by the local supervisor for 1 - 5 days per week for a total of not more than 719 hours.
*Pay Rate:* $16.73 per hour
*Brief Job Description*
Assist the local Wildlife Division staff with multiple wildlife survey, banding and tagging efforts; assist with wildlife treatment stand marking; assist with opening maintenance, crop plantings, and habitat cuts; assist with dam, dike, and water control structure maintenance; assist with handling nuisance animal complaints, wildlife specimen retrieval, and wildlife disease monitoring; assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance, conduct gate installation, conduct shrub plantings, assist with crop damage assessments and farm inspections, and other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

*Wildlife Assistant 6*

Alternate Education and Experience
*Wildlife Assistant 6, 7*
Completion of vocational training that included practical experience in the operation of heavy equipment may be substituted for six months of experience at the Wildlife Assistant 6 or 7 levels.
